The Center for Disease Control and Prevention have listed helpful guidelines that parents should consider when following their child’s development.  It is important to Learn the signs and act early on any child that may be falling behind on age appropriate development.

The CDC says. ” Skills such as taking a first step, smiling for the first time, and waving “bye bye” are called developmental milestones. Children reach milestones in how they play, learn, speak, act, and move (crawling, walking, etc.)”.

Their website provides specific age ranges, other resources, and a quiz to gauge if your child is developing at an appropriate rate.
